Blogmas Day 21: Holiday Glam Makeup
The holidays are one of the times of the year that makeup junkies bust out their best skills. From Christmas parties to New Year’s Eve, what better way to ring in the season than a glam look.
For this look I chose a champagne halo eye. I started with a base of NYX HD Eyeshadow Primer. For shadow I used my Morphe 35F palette, and started with a cool matte brown for a transition shade. I then used a blending brush to add a cool gold tone over it. I left the center of the eye bare while I blended. Just before adding the center, I rounded the top of the lid to blend the two sides together. I used a light champagne color in the center of the eye and blended it into the sides. On the outer V I added a little bit of bronze tone to deepen the side. You could also use cosmetic glitter on the center of the eye for a dazzling look!
I then added some Maybelline Ultra Liner in Black in a wing shape. I curled and swiped one coat of L’Oreal Lash Paradise in Blackest Black on my lashes. For this look, I added Natural Lashes from E.L.F., but they’re totally optional.
I primed my face with Maybelline BB Dream cream. Then I added Urban Decay Naked foundation to places on my face that were a little red or uneven. I added NYX HD Concealer and powdered it down with E.L.F. setting powder.
For cheeks I added a touch of NYX Matte bronzer, NARS blush, and a highlighter from the TartexGrav3yardgirl Swamp Queen Palette. A Champagne colored highlighter would work just fine. My brows are filled with NYX Tame and Frame Brow gel.
I traced my lips with a lip pencil from NYX that was red, and then went over it with NYX Soft Matte Lip Creme in Budapest.
And that’s all! May your holiday season be glam!
